The ultimate guide to a relaxing home spa day

Ultimate guide to a relaxing home spa - aromas by flo
Who doesn't love a relaxing spa day? Unfortunately, going to the spa can be expensive and time-consuming. Luckily, you can create your very own wellbeing spa day in the comfort of your own home, using only natural ingredients. Taking care of your physical and mental health is important, and a spa day can be a great way to promote relaxation and self-care.

In this blog post, we'll explore some easy and natural ways to create your own spa day at home.

First things first, start as you mean to go on by creating and embracing the spa ambience. Go offline, light the candles or add relaxing oils to your aroma diffuser. What the heck, do both! Now switch on some relaxing music or a classic 1980s hits playlist. Stay hydrated with some fizz or green tea. If you would like more hints and tips on creating a calm space check out our Creating a Calming Space at Home blog post.

Next, it's time to start your spa treatments. One of the easiest and most relaxing treatments you can do at home is to take a bath. Fill your tub with warm water and add some natural ingredients to enhance the experience. You can add Epsom salts to soothe sore muscles, or try adding diluted lavender essential oil to promote relaxation. Another great option is to add some dried herbs to your bath. Chamomile is known for its calming properties, while rose petals can help to soften and hydrate your skin.

After your bath, it's time to give yourself a facial. You don't need expensive products to achieve glowing skin. In fact, some of the best ingredients for your skin can be found right in your kitchen. Start by cleansing your skin with a gentle cleanser, then use a natural exfoliant to remove dead skin cells. One option is to mix together some oatmeal and honey to create a natural scrub. The oatmeal will gently exfoliate your skin, while the honey will provide antibacterial benefits.

Once you've exfoliated, it's time to apply a face mask. There are many natural ingredients you can use to create a mask that will address your specific skin concerns. For example, if you have dry skin, try mixing together some mashed avocado and honey. Avocado is rich in fatty acids and vitamins that can help to nourish and hydrate your skin, while honey provides antibacterial benefits. If you have oily or acne-prone skin, try mixing together some bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar. Bentonite clay can help to detoxify and clarify your skin, while apple cider vinegar helps to balance your skin's pH levels.

Now it's time to pamper your hands and feet: Regular hand washing and hand sanitizer means that, for many of us, our skin and nails have seen better days and need a little TLC. We have a couple of  simple natural recipes to treat and nourish both your hands and feet.

Safety first:- It is always important, whenever you are making your own skin care products, to do a patch test for allergies or irritation, and avoid sensitive areas or broken skin. If you are pregnant or have underlying health conditions seek medical advice before using essential oils.
