Citrus Family

This family of citrus essential oils are used in many of our products. They are beautiful in the their own right with their zesty, energetic notes, but they also compliment each other, enhancing our floral and woody fragrances.

Bergamot essential oil is extracted from the rind of the bergamot orange fruit.  It is  citrusy but sweet-smelling and it has powerful mood-stabilising effects.  It  helps promote clarity in the workplace.

Grapefruit essential oil is pleasantly sweet, with a tangy aroma.  It aids relaxation, relieving anxiety and stress and also has uplifting, stimulating properties, increasing energy levels.

Lemongrass, a versatile essential oil, known among aromatherapists to be soothing, stimulating and refreshing, it has the ability to both calm and revitalize, to relieve tension and invigorate.

Mandarin has a sweet and tangy bouquet which helps reduce the negative effects of daily stress and promotes contentment and calmness.  Mandarin essential oil lifts spirit and mood and aids deep, restful sleep.

Sweet orange essential oil has a refreshingly sweet scent which creates a bright, uplifting and invigorating mood.  It balances mind and body and is warming and joyful.

Petitgrain essential oil is extracted from the bitter orange plant.  It has a green, woody aroma which is both uplifting and refreshing.  Its scent helps reduce mental fatigue by clearing the mind.

Floral family

Rose is a nurturing and floral essential oil with a highly romantic, heady fragrance.  This beautiful scent brings about emotional balance, relieving anxiety and invoking peace and relaxation.

Ylang Ylang essential oil has a sweet intoxicating aroma that is totally unique.  It is calming and relaxing but also has an uplifting effect on mood.Ylang ylang can be found in our happiness and embrace collections.

Geranium is a beautifully sweet-smelling essential oil.  Its fragrance promotes emotional wellbeing, relieving stress and lessening fatigue.

Lavender is one of the most well-known and versatile essential oils.  It has a floral, woody fragrance and can be both stimulating and calming.  Lavender has reviving qualities but can also help induce restful sleep.  It has the ability to reduce anxiety and emotional stress and to improve mood.

Woody Family

These essential oils are used in our products to provide warmth and depth.

They bring a sophistication and elegance to our blends and create a perfect union with both the citrus and floral essential oils we have chosen to use.

Clary Sage is a herb with a scent that has some similarities to lavender, but with an earthy, smoky note.  The essential oil has a calming, relaxing effect and can also bring about a sense of euphoria.

Marjoram is a perennial herb and has a warm, slightly spicy scent.  Its essential oil calms the emotions, relieves anxiety and stress and can help with insomnia.
